EduTutorVA is making a difference for Virginia students through high-impact virtual tutoring.
Our academic data is strong and our surveys reflect that students love having a college tutor engaging with them online three days a week.
In 2026: our students had an overall 72% pass rate on their state math or reading tests; in 2025: 70% pass/accredited rate (up from 46%); in 2024: 70% pass rate (up from just 28% the year prior to tutoring!)

Our Approach
Data from NAEP and NWEA reveal students still have far to go to catch up with pre-pandemic achievement levels. For many young learners who were already behind, the loss is even greater.
EduTutorVA pairs trained college tutors, free of charge to families, with students in high-needs schools in Virginia. EduTutors build a year-long relationship with their students and help schools close gaps and accelerate student learning across a high-dosage of sixty virtual sessions.
The use of a virtual model reduces barriers to transportation and can seamlessly fit into the school's instructional day. Students receive the same tutor three days per week during the school year, providing them with consistent support.
By utilizing the immense supply of college students in Virginia, EduTutorVA can scale to serve thousands of K12 students each year. Importantly, this program offers paid a meaningful job opportunity for college students, providing both workforce development and a pathway into the teaching profession.
